Funko POP! Games Mass Effect Garrus Vinyl Collectible Figure - Perfect for Gaming Display, Gift for Mass Effect Fans, and Sci-Fi Decor

I received a couple Walking Dead Funko figures as a gift and thought I would check out what other figures they had.Grunt: As soon as I saw Grunt, I knew I had to have him. He looked great in the on-line picture but is even better in person. A very iconic Mass Effect character. Kinda wished he was carrying his shotgun. You can't have just one of these figures.Garrus: I debated about getting Garrus, but then in the game after Garrus joined the team I took him on 90-95% of the missions. His picture does not do justice to the character in hand. I also worried that with his small feet he might not be very stable - but no problems there. As another reviewer mentioned, he does look downward. Would be better if he looked straight ahead or slightly upward. But no deal breaker.Commander Shepard: Shepard won his spot on my team by default. How can you go on a mission without the Commander? His head is generic (I believe in the game we set his features according to our likes, so generic seems appropriate). His N7 combat suit is nicely done and includes the omni tool.One of the complaints with Funko figures is the paint job. Maybe I'm not critical enough but I feel I got 3 perfect paint jobs with these figures. For what it is worth, all three boxes arrived in perfect shape (They're in the trash now as I don't expect I'll be alive in fifty years to take these figures on the Antiques Road Show).Since the first time i saw him I decided that this little guy will be mine and now that he finally has arrived im realy happy to have this adorable pocket version of Garrus Vakarian, one of my favorite Mass Effect characters, the perfect man for my female Shepard and a great friend and partner of my renegade male one.The box is a little bit big compared to the four inches size of the figure but comes in perfect condition so i can keep him on it.Surprisingly for my he stands perfectly in his alien feets even if his head is realy big compared to the body. At first glance it looks simple but its pretty well detailed, i just fell that the paint job is not perfect because there is some minor failures and the most noticeable one is in the blue face marks over the nose, but that doesn't make me stop liking him and it still have five stars for me.Perfect for a Mass Effect fan, a Garrus lover, and someone who likes to decorate the house with dolls plushes and figures, like myself.I can't be more pleased now that i have my first Funko pop. Well i think i'll be much more when i get Grunt, Tali and Walter White to make some company for the little Garrus.I apologize for my english, is not my mother tongue :PThe Funko came in a box that had rips on the side and damage to one cornerI don't collect the Funko line of figures, but was interested in this one as a big Mass Effect fan. So as my first Funko, I'm overall pretty impressed with Garrus. Extremely accurate to his in-game appearance, from Mass Effect 2 specifically. Has a lot of detailing to his armor and all over the various scales and textures on his head, which on a figure just a hair under 4 inches in height is surprising.The only thing that holds it back from being 5 in my opinion is that there's some sloppiness here and there to it when it comes to the paint application, and some clear glue around where his targeting visor is attached. Granted you won't much notice it from a distance, but for a small figure you might keep on your desk it's more noticeable.Still, a pretty cool collectible for Mass Effect fans that has a lot of detail to it, if you like the stylized look of these sort of figures.This little guy is a must have for Shakarian fans! He's even more adorable in this little mini form.This little guy is very nicely made. The paint on him is flawless, and the detail is pretty amazing. I'm especially impressed by the detail they put into the scars on the side of his face, his visor, and the Mantis Sniper Rifle that he's holding. I haven't tried taking him out of the box yet, but it looks like the Mantis can be removed from his hands or maybe re-positioned. If you haven't bought this cute little guy yet, I highly recommend you do. Whether you're a Shakarian fan, or just a regular Mass Effect fan, he'll make a perfect addition to any collection or just as a standalone piece!Mini Garrus is super cute, but the paint job on mine is a little sloppy. Mainly on the gun, where there's some areas painted black over the grey as if the brush was too big to get in the small crevices. There were also red pen smears for some reason? It's something I can overlook though since it's not too noticeable at a glance and I could probably say that Garrus came back from a messy mission. :v Just be aware that you may get a not so crisp paint job on your figure, or you may get one that is perfectly fine.Nice but smaller than what I thought it would be but that was my fault did not properly read the description. Mine came defective missing an arm but I think that was rare. Currently awaiting replacement. Amazon very quick to correct issue.01/30/15 Update...got my replacement a couple days earlier than they said it would. Very happy, this one looks better than previous one. Hubby is super happy as it was part of anniversary gift.I love it. Makes a great figure for my gaming desktop. I only wish it was a little more well-made. There's glue around his visor, and he's very top heavy. If I shake my desk, he falls. Kind of annoying. I just made a little pedestal out of clay so he'd stay put. Other than that, the details are very nice, and he's a cute little reminder of my favorite character from Mass Effect <3The product I purchased was covered in sand, I found this very strange as there is no need for there to be sand on the product. Other than that minor problem it was fine. The figure in the box was fine (Other than the sand he for some unknown reason was covered in)One minor cosmetic flaw is a large scratch on Garrus' visor. This is not too bad but it is a bit of a shame. There were no dents in the display box, or scuffing to the cardboard.Tl:Dr: There was sand, a small scratch but an overall good product.I am an in-box collector of various pop figures, and as a lover of Mass effect, and specifically Garrus this gift for myself went down a treat.The seller packaged the pop very well, with lots of bubble wrap as protection. For some reason the price seems to have shot up from when i purchased this, but as collectors items this does tend to happen. The pop itself had great paint work, the box was in mint condition and i was very happy with the price i paid for it (roughly £10)Pop was well packed and in excellent condition when it arrived, which as a collector is very important.Garrus has one of the better designs of the Pop Mass Effect series with the eye HUD and the gun is very detailed and just like the gun that he carries in the games.Great product. If you're a fan of the Mass Effect series you'll know who Garrus is. Great quality figure with good detail. The model has Garrus's scar included on his right side, which is a nice addition. You can turn the head so he is standing in different positions. Easy purchase for any fan of mass effect.It was hard to found, but we made it.The box was no perfect, because it was used, but not so bad!Delivered quikly, fine!!
