Ready... Place the 3 doughnuts in the centre of the play area. If playing with 3 players, take away one of the doughnuts and the corresponding coloured doughnut cards from the pack. Shuffle the cards and deal 10, face-down, to each player. Resist the temptation to peek at your hand! Place any leftover cards to one side. Steady... Choose a player to go first and give them the turn-tracker token. Decide how many rounds you want to play. We suggest three rounds to start. Each round ends when a player gets rid of all their cards. Nab! The first player takes the top card from their hand and - turning it away from themselves - places it face-up in front of them for all players to see. Playing in a clockwise direction, everyone takes turns to do the same, all placing their cards face-up in front of themselves to create their own delicious dough nab pile. If at any point you see three cards with the same coloured doughnut, grab that doughnut! In Play: A player who successfully grabs a doughnut must give their dough nab pile to a player of their choice, who then adds it to their hand. All players, except the successful grabber, then scoop up their dough nab piles and place them at the bottom of their hand. Play continues, with the turn-tracker token being passed clockwise to the next player. If a player grabs when there isn't a match, or grabs the wrong colour doughnut, they receive the dough nab piles of all other players, regardless of whether another player grabs correctly at the same time. How to Win: Once you've played all the cards in your hand, you're one step away from winning! However, in order to win, you must also clear your dough nab pile, which you can do by winning a grab or by another player taking your dough nab pile because they grabbed incorrectly. The winner is awarded the Head Baker's hat to proudly wear for the next round. All cards are collected and shuffled, and a new round begins with ten new cards being dealt to each player. At the end of the agreed number of rounds, the winner is the jammy player who has won the most rounds. The Special Cards: Magic doughnut cards can be matched with doughnut cards of any other colour. Grab the doughnut that corresponds to the majority colour (e.g. 2 pink+ 1 magic = grab pink). If three Magic doughnut cards are visible at the same time, race to grab any doughnut. Players who manage to grab a doughnut then give their dough nab piles to any player who has not grabbed a doughnut. If a Don't Nab! card is played, you cannot grab any doughnuts until the Don't Nab! card is covered up. If a player grabs when a Don't Nab! is in play, they receive the dough nab piles of all other players. Don't Nab! overrules all other cards, so never grab on a Don't Nab! If a Nab! card is played, all players immediately race to grab any doughnut. Players who grab a doughnut then give their dough nab piles to any player who has not grabbed a doughnut. Nab! cards are only active at the time they are played.
